How purchases on cynicrust.com are delivered and refunded. Questions go to [email protected].

What you are buying

  • A rank is an in-game permission group on the server or servers named at checkout. Each rank page lists what it does and which plugin does it.
  • 30-day ranks last 30 days from payment and do not renew. Buying the same rank again adds 30 days to the end of the current one.
  • Lifetime ranks last for as long as the server or network they were bought for runs. If we retire that server, we move the rank to a comparable server or refund part of it.
  • Kits, perks and cooldowns are set by the server plugins and can be rebalanced. The rank page always shows the current set.
  • Ranks belong to the SteamID on the order and cannot be transferred or resold. You must be 13 or older (16 in the EEA and UK), or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Delivery

  • Ranks go to the SteamID chosen at checkout, normally within seconds of payment, whether or not that player is online.
  • If a server is offline at the time, the rank is queued and applied when it comes back. Your order page shows the state on each server.
  • Gifts go to the SteamID you confirmed. A rank delivered to the account you named cannot be moved to another one.

Refunds

  • We refund in full when a rank failed to arrive because of a fault on our side and we could not deliver it within 24 hours.
  • We refund in full when you ask within 24 hours of buying and have not used the rank in game (no rank kit claimed, no rank-only command used).
  • EU and UK buyers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. The rank starts as soon as you pay, and using it in game ends that right; an unused rank within the 14 days is refunded in full.
  • We do not refund for wipes, maintenance, perk or kit rebalancing, or ranks removed for breaking the network rules.
  • Ask at [email protected] from the email on the Stripe receipt, with your order id, or open a ticket in Discord. We answer within 48 hours on business days.
  • Any refund, full or partial, removes the rank it paid for.

Chargebacks

  • A chargeback removes the rank while the dispute is open. If the dispute is closed in our favour, the rank comes back.
  • Please contact us before disputing a charge; most problems are fixed the same day.

What we never sell

  • Facepunch DLC or skins, or anything Facepunch sells or approves for the Steam Marketplace
  • Blueprint unlocks
  • Admin powers, unbans, or exemptions from the network rules
  • Anything presented as official Rust or Facepunch content

Payment and receipts

  • Payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store card details.
  • Stripe emails the receipt. Your account page links every receipt.
  • Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add its own currency fees.

What we store

  • Your SteamID64 and public Steam name, the time you signed in with the IP address and browser name of that sign-in, and your orders.
  • A sign-in cookie (cr_sess) that keeps you signed in for 30 days. Signing out deletes it.
  • Nothing is shared with anyone except Stripe, which processes the payment.

  • Cynic servers are modded servers and are listed as modded in the game browser.
